FIELD: space engineering; electric thrusters to control position of space craft in flight. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has explosion chamber 1, braking device 2, reservoir 3 for conducting liquid or paste-like working medium 4, device 5 to supply working medium into explosion chamber and pulse supply source 6. All elements, except for braking device, are arranged in housing 7 which is fitted in guides 8 of space craft body 9 and interacts with the latter through braking device 2. Explosion chamber 1 consists of explosion space 10, ring electrodes 11, and supersonic part of nozzle 12. braking device consists of slider 13 with wedge surface, and spring 14. Housing 7 has mating wedge part with stop 15. Spring 16 is installed in body 9. Working medium 4 is loaded by piston 17 and spring 18 to preclude formation of hollows. Pulse supply source 6 is electrically coupled with electrodes 11 by tenons 19. Porous partition 20 and can be installed between inlet part of device 5 to supply working medium and explosion space 10.
