FIELD: space engineering; protection of space vehicles and space stations against liquid-phase contaminants contained in propulsive jets escaping from chemical engine nozzles. SUBSTANCE: each nozzle is provided with axi-symmetrical protective device made in the form of shield with absorbing body inside it; end surfaces tightly adjoin nozzle section; according to first version, venting clearance is provided on the outside between shield and absorbing body. According to other version, absorbing porous body is made in the form of body of revolution embracing the nozzle and having coaxial (end) holes between which this nozzle is located. Absorbing body may be provided with electrogenerating spiral. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection of space vehicle surfaces against liquid contaminants. 3 cl, 2 dwg
