FIELD: concentration of synthetic diamonds; production of superhard materials (for example, cube boron nitrite). SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes gravitational separation performed at two stages: first stage is accomplished in horizontal centrifugal gravitational separator at separation factor of 1.26 to 1.30 and volume load of 36.8 to 38.2 cu m/cu m h, classification of heavy fraction of first stage on sieve, combining undersieve fraction of classification, overflow of horizontal gravitational separator and ground coarse fraction and separation at second stage in vertical centrifugal separator at separation of graphite at volume weight of 0.80 to 0.85 kg/cu m into overflow and diamonds at volume weight of 1.95 to 2.00 kg/cu m into sediment. EFFECT: increased productivity and yield of diamonds due to reduced losses with waste. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
