MIXER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: pipe line fittings; mixing units used for mixing hot and cold water at different ratio. SUBSTANCE: proposed mixer has hollow body with inlet branch pipes for hot and cold water. Body is provided with connecting members for valve head which are coaxial to each inlet branch pipe. Mixing chamber is formed in body between inlet branch pipes. Mixing chamber is brought in communication with outlet branch pipes through valve distributor for connection with shower head or brush. Valve distributor includes shut-off members with seals and pressure member which is made in form of balance beam with horizontal axle received by recess found in body. Body has two through vertical passages which are symmetrical to axle of balance beam. Each said passage has outlet branch pipe with seat in its lower part. Shut-off member with seal whose tail-piece is engageable with hold-down member is provided in upper part of each passage for longitudinal motion and shutting-off seats of outlet branch pipe. Shut-off members are kinematically interconnected by means of rolling lever mounted in said recess and brought in contact with its bottom. EFFECT: enhanced reliability; low cost of manufacture; reduced labor consumption in servicing and operation. 7 cl, 5 dwg
