FIELD: rocket and space engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solar heat rocket engines and nuclear rocket engines. Heat rocket engine has working medium supply system, heater (concentrated solar radiation receiver or active zone of nuclear reactor) and exhaust nozzle and also resonant generator of high frequency shock waves including nozzle and resonator units installed in space of generator hermetic housing. Generator is installed between heater and engine exhaust nozzle. Generator nozzle unit is combined with heater outlet. Generator resonator unit terminates in engine exhaust nozzle, and inlet space f generator is hydraulically coupled with heater inlet through heat exchanger cooled by working medium delivery into engine, and compressor. Ejector can be used as compressor providing circulation of working medium between inlet space of generator and heater inlet. Inlet of ejector is connected with outlet of heat exchanger using flow of working medium delivered into engine and cooling heat exchanger. EFFECT: increased specific thrust pulse. 2 cl, 1 dwg
