FIELD: mechanical engineering; conversion of rotary motion into translational motion. SUBSTANCE: backlash between screw, rollers and nut in proposed gear train is taken up due to motion of roller necks in radial direction by means of special mechanisms. Due to said motion of necks, each roller may shift in parallel relative to initial position towards nut or screw or may turn relative to initial position. Final position of rollers is fixed. Necks of each roller may move individually or rollers may be self-set between screw and nut when flexible closed bands are in tension or they may be self-set between screw and nut due to elastic forces of four thin- walled rings two of which are compressed radially by roller necks and other two are in tension. EFFECT: increased axial rigidity; enhanced accuracy of transmission due to extended range of sizes. 4 cl, 12 dwg
