FIELD: mechanical engineering; devices for connecting pipes and hoses; mounting hydraulic and pneumatic systems. SUBSTANCE: worm clip has body made from stamped blank, screw and metal band bent in form of ring. Body has cylindrical section where threaded rod of screw is fitted and bearing section where ends of metal band are located. Slot is cut at the end of metal band and arched sides are stamped for locking this end on stamped stop in bearing section. End of metal band is provided with corrugated toothed track thrown into engagement with thread of threaded rod. Rated thread pitch of threaded rod exceeds that of toothed track by 1.03-1.08 times. Angles of helix of thread in normal section of threaded rod and toothed track are equal to 10^°±3^° deg for working side in tightening the metal band in body and 35^°±5^° deg in extending metal band from body. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in wide range of hose diameters due to increased path of contact; avoidance of interference of toothed track and threaded rod at small diameters of hoses; facilitated procedure. 7 cl, 13 dwg
