FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring the passed distance increments during each working cycle, averaged values of gravitational force acceleration and resultant Earth magnetic field intensity vector projections and object magnetic field on the instrument system coordinate axis at the first stage. Data array is built is built from the values measured all along the whole movement route. The moving object having passed the whole distance, correction coefficients are determined for horizontal magnetic field component holograph. Horizontal projections of Earth magnetic field intensity vector, motion direction angle, coordinate increments and object position coordinates are measured for every working cycle. Route point coordinate corrections are carried out with end point position taken into account. EFFECT: simplified method; wide range of functional applications. 2 cl, 3 dwg
