SUBSTANCE: one should detect the persistence factors of uropathogenic enterobacteria in urine of patients with acute pyelonephritis both before and after antibacterial therapy, that is the index of microbial adhesion (IMA), antilysozymic activity (ALA) and anti- interferon activity (AIA) and at the presence of enterobacterial strains with high values of persistence factors, for example, IMA above 4.0, ALA above 5.0 mcg/ml and AIA above 3.0 U at the background of bacteriuria being below 100 CFU/ml at patient's arrival into medicinal establishment one should predict the chronic flow of pyelonephritis.
