FIELD: cryogenic plants. SUBSTANCE: the method for production of liquid rich in methane under pressure consists in cooling of a multicomponent feeding flow containing methane and a freezable component having a relative evaporability that is lower than the relative evaporability of methane. The multicomponent feeding flow is introduced in a separating system having a freezing section operating under a pressure approximately higher than 1380 kPa and in the conditions of formation of solid particles for the freezable component, and a rectification section positioned under the freezing section. The separating system produces a flow of vapor rich in methane and a flow of liquid rich in freezable component. At least part of the vapor flow is cooled for production of a liquefied flow rich in methane having a temperature approximately above -112 C and a pressure sufficient so that the liquid wound be in the point of the beginning of its boiling or lower for production of the product and flow for provision of cooling of the separating system. EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency and efficiency of liquefaction of natural gas. 30 cl, 3 tbl, 3 dwg
