FIELD: production of compressed liquid natural gas at temperature above minus 112 C and pressure at point of beginning of boiling. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes delivery of methane-rich liquid flow at temperature of minus 155 C and compression to definite pressure. Then methane-rich gas flow is expanded reducing its pressure to preset level and gas flow is joined with liquid flow for liquefaction of gas. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 13 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
