FIELD: rolled stock production. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand includes rolling rolls rested directly or through intermediate roll upon backup roll and mounted with possibility of mutually opposite axial motion. In such rolling stand edges of rolled strip are acted on in order to control their geometry and to regulate planeness and profile accuracy of strip while preventing compression of strip edges, their sharpening and cracking of strip. It is realized due to using at least one roll having different bending capability along it, namely using roll having on separate portion along roll barrel higher characteristics of flattening capability. Roll has coaxial cone recess of predetermined shape. EFFECT: possibility to act upon strip edges in order to enhance strip planeness. 8 dwg
