SUBSTANCE: magnetic starter that may be used in three-phase current distribution circuits as well as in short-circuit, overcurrent, and phase-failure protective gear of electric motors incorporated in important drives and that has short-circuit protective device, control unit, power unit, and overcurrent protective means is provided in addition with motor phase- failure protective unit incorporating three voltage monitoring relays, make and break contacts in each phase, and two phase-shift capacitors each being connected to faulty phase and to adjacent phase disposed in clockwise direction in series with break contact of faulty-phase voltage monitoring relay and with make contact of adjacent-phase voltage monitoring relay; each capacitor is inserted between motor overcurrent protective means and three-phase electrical installation (motor).
