APPARATUS FOR CONVEYING SHEEP TO SHEEP HANDLING UNIT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, mobile sheep handling equipment used on grazing meadows. SUBSTANCE: sheep are conveyed to treatment unit (after shearing) by means of vertical chain-valve conveyor comprising two runs and connected to animal transportation unit and wool transportation unit. Animal transportation unit has closed belt adapted for rotation on drums, member for retaining belt at predetermined level with respect to sheep expert's table, sheep bath and sheep expert's table. Animal transportation unit retainer is positioned at one side under lower run of vertical conveyor and at other side above sheep expert's table. Rotating closed belt is positioned so as to change inclination angle with respect to lower run and is connected through lower drum with drive wheel connected to conveyor lower run drive and through upper drum with animal transportation unit retainer. Belt is adapted to carry metal scrapers covered with elastic coating. Animal and wool transportation units are extending diagonally in corner parts of conveyor, with wool transportation unit being engaged with weighing mechanism.
