FIELD: transport mechanical engineering; heavily loaded disk brakes; aircraft wheels. SUBSTANCE: brake disk includes friction member with rectangular slots smoothly distributed over circumference on its peripheral surface; each slot is used for receiving metal load-bearing insert made in form of two U-shaped clamps and intermediate plate connected with them; intermediate plate keeps insert from turning around rivets holding it on disk; each U-shaped clamp is secured on disk by one rivet only. Novelty of invention consists in form of insert locking mechanism which is detachable and is made in form of tenon joint. Tenons of said joint are made on intermediate plate or on U- shaped clamps and mating slots are made respectively on U- shaped clamps or on intermediate plate. Bending loads on insert locking mechanism are excluded. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability; increased service life. 3 dwg
