SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyvinyl acetate dispersion suitable for gluing paper, cardboard, wood, haberdashery leather ware, as well as binder in aqueous emulsion paints and building material industry. Dispersion is prepared via aqueous-emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate at 58-78 C in presence of polyvinyl alcohol and initiation system containing urea monoperoxyhydrate in amount 0.4-1.0% of the weight of 10-40% aqueous dispersion followed by plasticization of dispersion at 25 C for 1 h. Novelty resides in that aqueous-emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate is conducted in presence of plasticizer in the form of solution of plasticizer in vinyl acetate with weight percentage of plasticizer within a range of 4.7 to 17.3%.
