FIELD: load-bearing unit members of composite material, applicable as high-effective long-cut members for lead-bearing units or pressure lines for liquid, gaseous, loose and pulp media. SUBSTANCE: long-cut member of composite material has a reinforcing cage with longitudinal cavities and layers of longitudinal or inclined to them unidirectional fibres located in a continuous medium of polymeric binder. The inclined fibres are positioned along spatial helical curves and envelop at least one longitudinal cavity. The long-cut members are made with fibres inclined at an angle within 40-89.9 deg to the longitudinal cavities, with a volumetric relation of all the fibres of the reinforcing cage with polymeric binder within 1:1 to 1:1, and the relation of the cross-section area of all layers with the longitudinal fibres and the cross-section area of all layers with an inclined position of fibres within 15: 1 to 1:15. The inclined fibres may be positioned in the form of two sub-layers with an equal number of fibres inclined in the opposite sides from the longitudinal fibres. The inclined fibres may be interlaced. The reinforcing cage of the long-cut member is made of layers of unidirectional material on the basis of glass, basalt, polymeric, carbon or organic fibres or a combination of them, its linear density is within 29-4800 tex.
