RAM-TYPE BLOWOUT PREVENTER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment applicable in servicing of oil and gas wells, particularly, for sealing of wellhead in emergency situations on well, or at prolonged breaks in well operation. SUBSTANCE: ram-type blowout preventer has body with axial channel, ram assembly with drive and sealing members for sealing pipes run into well through axial channel in preventer body. Installed in body under rams is slide plate with drive for covering the hole remaining between sealing members of displaced rams without pipes in well. Slide plate is located in guide recesses of one of rams, with the other ram provided with stop for locking of slide plate in closed position. Technical problem solved by the invention consists in development of double-gate blowout preventer with mechanism of synchronous drive of rams from one control handwheel. EFFECT: facilitated preventer operation, reduced expenditures involved in preventer acquisition, operation and maintenance. 2 cl, 10 dwg
