FIELD: compensation type couplings, mainly couplings allowing transmission of large values of torques at increased canting angles of joined shafts, for example in couplings of heavy loaded mechanisms of rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: coupling includes two flanged semicouplings and two discs arranged between them and mutually joined by means of bolts. Plate like chains are mounted between said discs and flanges; links of chains are made of set of thin plates mutually joined through pins. Said pins have stems of different design mounted in coaxial opening of flanges and discs in such a way that position of stems changes to opposite one in each pitch of opening arrangement. At one side stems of pins are mounted in openings of flanges and discs by interference fit and at other side they are mounted in openings of flanges and discs with radial gap. Casings are secured to flanges for fluid-tightly closing cavities between flanges and discs. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, increased loading capacity of chain coupling. 1 cl, 2 dwg
