FIELD: glass and ceramic industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed raw material concentrate contains granules including particles of silica coated by sodium and potassium silicates and boron-containing particles at the following ratio of components, mass-%: silica particles, 90-98; boron-containing particles, 2-10. Density of concentrate ranges from 0.8 to 0.95 g/cm at size of granules of up to 0.2 mm. Concentrate is produced by mixing silica with potassium and sodium hydroxides at ratio (3-4) : 1, drying and heat treatment for obtaining powder at temperature of 573 to 620 C. Powder thus obtained is mixed with solution of boron-containing component, dried at temperature of 100 to 150 C and burnt temperature of 250 to 400 C. According to proposed method, procedure of glass founding and clarification is facilitated and specific output is increased. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 3 cl, 3 dwg, 4 tbl
