FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; applicable in aluminum smelting. SUBSTANCE: device has hollow cylindrical body and axial core with winding on its external surface. It is provided with two disc bases and winding on body internal surface. Body, core and base form closed magnetic circuit. Windings are made from tube wires and connected electrically with AC source, and hydraulically, with source of coolant. Pipes for inlet and outlet of components and products of aluminum smelting are located in disc cases and body walls. Technical result of the invention is smelting of aluminum with the help of induction currents that provided for prevention of use of electrodes, continuous production process with full mechanization and automation of all operations including loading of raw material and withdrawal of liquid aluminum.
