FIELD: data transmission for code- division multiple-access communication system. SUBSTANCE: proposed device and method may be used, for example, to generate and allocate symbols preventing degradation of channel characteristics during data transmission. Convolution coder functions to encode data transmitted at coding speed R = 16 and it may be used as channel coder. Such channel coder may be used both in direct-sequence-modulation CDMA communication system and in multiple-carrier CDMA communication system. When channel coder is used in multiple-carrier CDMA communication system, symbols produced by plurality of component coders for channel coder are allocated among multiple-carrier channels according to predetermined rule and component coders for channel coder may minimize degradation of characteristics of channel coder as a whole even when output signal of particular component coder has been fully distorted in transmission channel.
