SUBSTANCE: sorbents suitable for treating aqueous solutions, drinking water, and waste waters to remove heavy metals, in particular copper, are prepared from waste formed in green walnut kerosene extract production process, which is first dried at 60-65 C and then at 100-105 C whereupon it is ground. Fraction 0.5-3 mm is collected, washed with water, and redried at 100- 105 C. EFFECT: simplified technology and enhanced purification efficiency. 2 ex
