FIELD: sorption technologies; production of sorbents used for cleaning aqueous solutions from heavy metals , copper and zinc for example. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on use of vegetable base: cucurbitaceous peels, for example watermelon and musk melon. Peels are washed with water, dried at temperature of 60-65 C to constant mass, ground and fraction of 0.2-2 is separated.
