FIELD: drive systems of rolling mills with toothed hinged spindles. SUBSTANCE: drive unit of rolling mill includes toothed hinged spindles 5, 6 mounted between drive rolls 1, 2 and their transmissions 3, 4 and having apparatuses for circulation lubricating. Each spindle has oil guiding ring 8, 9 connected with pipeline 7 for supplying oil. Oil from said pipeline may be fed through central duct 10, 11 of spindle stem 12, 13 to toothed hinges 27, 28. Each spindle also includes stationary mounted casing 14 for draining oil embracing with gap spindle stem 12, 13 and oil supplying pump 16 connected at pressure side to oil guiding rings 8, 9 and engaging with oil cooler 15. Novelty is tube 17,18 surrounding with radial gap toothed hinged spindle 5, 6 and forming duct 19,20 for returning oil in the form of circular ring. Tube 17, 18 has open end at side of transmission; in order to provide oil draining, it is introduced into oil trap casing 14. Duct 19, 20 for returning oil is communicated with central duct 10, 11 through oil circulation system by means of spindle sleeve 21, 22 having internal teeth and arranged at side of rolling stand. At side of stand tube 17, 18 is jointly connected (from outside) with spindle sleeve 21, 22 ant it is sealed through ball joint 25 relative to spindle sleeve 21, 22. EFFECT: lowered constructional and installation costs, prevention of contamination of circulating oil at rolling mill operation. 6 cl, 4 dwg
