ROTARY EXCAVATOR-DRAIN TUBE LAYER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: irrigation; construction of subsurface drainage systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary excavator-drain tube layer comprises truck-tractor, trenching machine in form of rotary wheel with buckets on periphery and inclined trough for drain tubes. Trenching machine is located at side of operator's cabin. Rotary excavator- drain tube layer is furnished with working platform behind trenching machine, said platform being extension of truck-tractor platform body. Trench bottom clearance and inclined trough for drain tubes are connected to working platform. Trenching machine rotary wheel consists of separate parts, each being made of truncated cones welded to each other over larger base line. Smaller base of cones is welded to rotor drum rigidly secured on shaft and to larger base of smaller truncated cone. Troughs are connected to each bucket at two sides. Said troughs are provided with cutting members and are welded to outer walls of larger and smaller truncated cones. EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability of rotary excavator - drain tube layer in operation. 2 cl, 5 dwg
