FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: composite material has web or knitted fabric with synthetic resilient weft threads. Each thread has monofilament of 0.05-0.40 mm diameter, complex filaments with titer of 400-2,000 dtex, or combination of said filaments with monofilaments, and at least one layer of nonwoven material. Web or knitted fabric and layer or layers of nonwoven material are glued to one another without additional stitching with needle. Method involves gluing nonwoven material to upper and/or lower side of web or knitted fabric. Composite material may be used as inner layer for imparting rigidity to separate parts of man and woman garment. EFFECT: reduced manufacture costs, provision for coming out of composite material outlines on face side of piece of garment and simplified processing of material and garment. 11 cl, 6 ex
