Abstract RU 2199025 C1

FIELD: development of electrical energy generators and motors. SUBSTANCE: magneto-thermal unit designed to convert stored magnetic energy, phase transformation energy, and thermal energy into working-medium motive energy has its working medium made of magnetically soft material possessing ferromagnetic properties whose magnetization is a function of temperature. It is placed in polarizing magnetic field, cooled down, turned to ferromagnetic state, and displaced under action of magnetic linkage forces towards effective area of these forces from area where magnetic field strength is minimal to area of maximal flux density; in the process it compresses some material such as gas in confined enclosed space and is heated due to heat of compressed gas, transformed into paramagnetic state, and returned to initial position due to elastic forces of compressed gas. Working medium is cooled down by gas cooled in the course of expansion and turned to ferromagnetic state. EFFECT: provision for using natural low-potential energy sources. 1 dwg
