FIELD: research of materials and products. SUBSTANCE: method involves evaluating toxic doses of substance penetrated into space under parts of protective clothing and into space under mask of gas mask; summing up and calculating time of protective action by time of criterion value of threshold toxic dose. Toxic dose of substance penetrated into space under protective clothing parts is evaluated under dynamic conditions providing reconstruction of process of sliding the materials relative to individual's body and to one another and characterizing motive functions and modeling the effect of factors such as toxic chemicals infection density, air gap between materials, ambient temperature, and total designed operating time for calculating time of protective action of individual's protection set.
