FIELD: bicycles. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pedal-operated vehicles designed for rigid along smooth-surface roads and across the country. It can be used in racers, freight bicycles and other pedal-operated vehicles. Proposed transmission contains impulse variable-speed drive rigidly secured on frame. Gear ratio of said drive smoothly changes within wide limits. Transmission is provided also with step- up gear train connecting pedal drive with input of variable-speed drive and step-up chain drive connecting output of variable-speed drive and driven sprocket of vehicle drive wheel. Gear ratio of transmission is controlled by handle installed at control input of variable-speed drive. EFFECT: enlarged speed control range, improved reliability of transmission. 4 dwg
