FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing composite mixes from broken vegetable material, preferably from wood waste, and mineral magnesia binders to be applied for manufacturing building, heat-insulation and deafening materials. Composition contains, wt. % (in terms of absolutely dry filler): broken vegetable filler, 100; ground carnallite chlorinator sludge, 80-100; magnesium chloride aqueous solution (density 1.08-1.12 g/cu.cm), 32-36; and water in the form of filler moisture, 32- 36. EFFECT: extended process temperature range, reduced amount of refuse, reduced consumption of power for drying of finished products, and improved physico-mechanical properties of products. 4 cl, 1 tbl
