FIELD: manufacture of building articles; utilization of heavy wastes of forestry industry, chemical industry and/or metallurgy for obtaining composite mixtures from waste wood, mineral magnesium-containing binder followed by manufacture of composite building materials. SUBSTANCE: raw material mixture includes ground waste wood, water, magnesium binder on base of magnesium-containing inorganic mineral agents and sludges of carnallite chlorinators; used as magnesium-containing inorganic mineral agents are asbestos process waste in form of serpentinite burnt at 500-900 C of the following composition, mas. %: MgO, 30-45: SiO2, 35-40; CaO, 3-7; Fe2O3, 6-9; Al2O3;, 1-2; oxides of other metals, up to 2; losses in calcinations, 10-15% at the following ratio of components, mas.%: ground waste wood, 35-45; sludge of carnallite chlorinators, 35-40; said burnt serpentinite, 15-20; and water, the balance. EFFECT: improved ecological situation due to use of technogeneous wastes; improved physico-mechanical properties of finished articles; reduced power requirements. 5 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
