FIELD: search for mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: procedure refers to method establishing point of leak of material chosen from rock formation and cement that surrounds borehole and contains fluid medium in process of leakage test. Procedure includes positioning of acoustic transmitter in chosen location in borehole, application of chosen pressure to fluid medium causing by that stresses in above- mentioned material which generate acoustic emission of above-mentioned material. Acoustic transmitter should be suitable for generation of signals presenting acoustic emission of above-mentioned material. Transmitter detects acoustic emission. Characteristic is determined on basis of mentioned signal and pressure applied to fluid medium. Leak pressure is determined as pressure under which graph of pressure in mouth of borehole depends on injected volume of fluid medium and becomes non- linear. Point of leak is found on basis of signal of acoustic emission by doubled frequency of acoustic shocks. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of procedure. 2 cl, 3 dwg
