METHOD FOR EVALUATING STATE OF HUMAN ENDOGENIC OPIOID SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, physiology. SUBSTANCE: one should determine thresholds of thermonociceptive sensitivity in three stages. At the first stage one should put the first palanx of finger into water of 40 C to register threshold of thermonociceptive reaction by the time for appearance of first unpleasant feelings. At the second stage one should activate endogenic antinociceptive system by including A_Δ and C-fibers into nociceptive afferentation due to squeezing m.interosseous dorsalis with fingers. Ten minutes after squeezing, at the third stage one should put the first phalax of finger into water of 40 C to register threshold of thermonociceptive reaction and evaluate function of endogenic opioid system as saved one at threshold value being 2-3 times higher against threshold data of nociceptive reaction at the first stage. The method enables to simplify evaluation of endogenic opioid system state and optimize therapy of narcological diseases. EFFECT: higher accuracy of evaluation. 1 cl, 2 ex
