SUBSTANCE: method involves rolling carbon steel with carbon content of less than 0.25 wt% on continuous wide strip hot mill to predetermined thickness h; setting temperature Ar3 at final rolling stage depending upon chemical composition of steel and strip thickness from expression: Ar3= A/+B, C, where: A=-143- 238[C]-4.63[Si] +198[Mn] , B=774- 418[C]-244[Si]+248[Mn], [Si] and [Mn] - content of silicon and manganese in steel, wt%, h in mm; cooling hot rolled strips at cooling rate V=(32.5-33.4)/, grade/s. Method is used for manufacture of hot rolled wide steel strips of standard quality and of high quality. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved consumer qualities of steel used in liquid state and as additional rolled product for manufacture of cold rolled sheet steel. 2 cl, 2 tbl
