FIELD: mechanical engineering; valve-actuating mechanisms of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed device contains spring of valve. One opening cam and two closing cams for each valve. Movable guide member with two crossmembers is mechanically coupled with valve for displacement together with valve. Crossmembers of guide member contain shaped projections. Shaped projection of first crossmember is made for engagement only with opening cam, and shaped projection of second crossmember is designed for engagement only with closing cams. Opening and closing cams are arranged on one camshaft. Closing cams are arranged symmetrically relative to each other opposite to vertex of opening cam. Each closing cam is provided with two vertices connected by two shaped working surfaces meeting in middle of closing cam. Middle of closing cam lies on one straight line with vertex of opening cam opposite to vertex. With valve closed, profiles of first sides of closing cams from vertex to middle in direction of camshaft rotation correspond to profile of first side of opening cam from base to vertex, and profiles of second sides of closing sides of closing cams from middle to vertex correspond to profile of second side of opening cam from vertex to base. With valve closed, first side of opening cam is made for engagement with shaped projection of first crossmember for displacement of valve towards engine piston, thus opening the valve, and first sides of closing cams are made for engagement with shaped projection of second crossmember. With valve opened, second sides of closing cams are made for engagement with shaped projection of second crossmember for displacement of valve from engine piston, thus closing the valve, and second side of opening cam is made for engagement with shaped projection of first crossmember. EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine, reduced fuel consumption, increased torque at slow speed and service life of units of valve-actuating mechanism. 6 cl, 7 dwg _
