FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: reinforcing member is designed as unit ensuring serviceability of reinforced-ground walls intended to fence embankments, hollows, natural slopes and dumping grounds. Reinforcing member is made of waste intercoupled tires. Novelty of this approach consists in utilization of tires cut either in middle of tread or in one of beads. Tires prepared in this manner are laid one after another butt-jointed with edge formed by cutting upwards. Contacting surfaces of tires are joined together with the use of C-shaped clamps made in the form of section of tire cut by radial slots on to which contacting walls of tires are put and their ends face downwards. Apart from this tires are in chain or panel. EFFECT: provision for durability of reinforcing members joining tires together at level corresponding to durability of tires themselves. 1 cl, 3 dwg
