SUBSTANCE: ratio of division is set, divisor operand voltage is divided by given ratio, quotient obtained is compared with divisor operand voltage, and result is encoded; in the process divisor operands are compared, higher voltage is chosen as divisor operand, quotient obtained is summed up to highest voltage value, quotient sums obtained are compared with lower voltage, and unknown ratio is found from result of comparison of voltage operands and from code of maximal partial sum not exceeding lower voltage.
