FIELD: thorium decontamination for reuse. SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves dissolution of irradiated specimens in nitric acid and uranium-233 is extracted using scheme with aid of 3-5% solution of tributyl phosphate. Thorium, zirconium, and technetium are jointly extracted from raffinate in 30% solution of tributyl phosphate at HNO3 concentration of 4-5 mole/l, Zr is separated by re-extraction in solution of acetohydroxamic acid and acetic acid whereupon Th is extracted in nitric acid of 0.2-0.4 mole/l concentration, and then Tc is separated from extract with aid of nitric solution of acetohydroxamic acid and hydrazine. EFFECT: provision for extracting thorium without zirconium and technetium admixtures and for eliminating salting waste solutions with aluminum nitrates. 4 cl, 1 dwg
