FIELD: reprocessing used nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: cesium and strontium are extracted from nitrates of radioactive residues containing nitration in the amount of up to 4 mole/l by means of solution of chlorinated cobalt dicarbollide, 0.06 to 0.25 mole/l and 8 to 40 g/l of substituted polyethylene glycol in mixture of fluorinated ethers. Raffinate obtained after extraction is treated with phosphinoxyde solution in saturated hydrocarbons. Technetium, rare-earth and actinide elements change to organic phase. Cesium and strontium re- extracted by ammonium nitrate or hexamethylenetetramine. Re- extraction of uranium, plutonium and technetium is effected by means of mixed solution of ammonium carbonate or bicarbonate and complexone.
