FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves detecting vascular structures on the ulcer fundus not visible on its surface using endoscopic ultrasonography after stopping and/or preventing hemorrhage. Their exact size and disposition depth is determined. Preserved vascular structures being detected in immediate proximity of ≤1mm to ulcer defect fundus which diameter is ≥1,5mm, retained threat of repeated hemorrhage and inefficiency of endoscopic homeostasis are to be concluded.
