SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic drops comprising carnosine involves additionally sodium chloride solution in borate buffer at pH 6.8-7.8 in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: carnosine, 0.01-2.0; physiological solution of sodium salts in borate buffer, the balance. Invention enhances the effectiveness of ophthalmic drops with carnosine due to the combined antibacterial effect, absence of irritating effect on ophthalmic tissues at physiological pH values and prolonged effect.
