FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plants operated on automobiles, diesel locomotives and special machinery, such as track repair vehicle powered by internal; combustion engines. Proposed converter contains housing forming bypass channel together with fitted-in reactor provided with at least two cellular catalyst units arranged in tandem to form space in between. Bypass channel communicates with space between units by through channels formed at least by two coaxial cylinders installed so that part of one cylinder overlaps part of other cylinder, and restrictors are placed in through channels. Invention accelerates self-regeneration of cellular catalyst converter units owing to ejection effect at flowing in of gas bypass channel through restrictor into space between units. EFFECT: improved self-regeneration of converter. 1 dwg
