FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method envisages feeding gaseous reactants, at low level, into solid particles' suspension bed to enable reaction of gaseous reactants when passing through suspension bed to give liquid and gas products, said gaseous reactants and said gas products contributing to maintain solid particles as suspension in liquid medium. Liquid product forms with liquid phase of suspension a common liquid phase. Any gas product and unreacted gaseous reactants leave suspension bed into free space above the bed. Suspended particles move downward within the bed through rising pipes disposed in the first and second rising-pipe regions resulting in redistribution of solid particles in suspension bed volume. The second rising- pipe region is vertically displaced relative to the first region. Any gas product and unreacted gaseous reactants are evacuated from above-indicated free space and liquid phase is withdrawn from suspension bed. Reaction is preferably Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and gaseous reactants involved are synthesis gas components (carbon monoxide and hydrogen). EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 19 cl, 2 dwg
