FIELD: agriculture, particularly, production of mixed feed for animals and poultry. SUBSTANCE: method of preparing mixed feed includes production of standard mixed feeds and addition in them of biologically active substances, for example, peat oxidate, components mixing, and packing. As biologically active loose substance, dry peat oxidate is used in amount of 0.05-0.80% by mixed feed mass. Dose of introduction of peat oxidate in mixed feed for poultry and pigs is 0.05- 0.175%, while for horned cattle, 0.5-0.8%. Introduction of peat oxidate in mixed feed for horned cattle promotes increasing of average daily increment of live weight of testing calves for 7.0-20%, and reducing expenditures for unit of product for 10-17%. In this case, duration of storage life and preservation of A, D and E vitamins are increased for 12-23%. Average daily increment of live weight of testing piglets is increased for 4.0-8.0% at addition of peat oxidate in mixed feed, and, expenditures for mixed feed per unit of increment are reduced, respectively, for 6.0-12.0%.
