FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has thermal chamber incorporating vapor distributor formed of perforated tubes and connected through vapor pipe with regulatable heating unit comprising hermetically sealed vapor generator and heater. Thermal chamber is made in the form of wooden barrel with entrance opening in side wall and is closed with metal carcass made in the form of open hoop wrapped in material having low thermal conductivity coefficient and secured with rigidity ribs. Carcass and entrance opening are closed with hermetically sealing enclosure provided with head opening. Vapor distributor is composed of ring mounted on barrel bottom and distributing nozzles connected to ring through valve and positioned at the level of patient's spine and poples. Length and effective section of vapor distributor are selected so as to provide temperature of 40-70 C in barrel. Apparatus is used for therapy and prophylaxis of diseases of locomotor apparatus, cardiovascular and systematic diseases, dermal, intestinal diseases and diseases of central and peripheral nervous system by introducing phytopreparations through patient's integument.
