FIELD: sorption catalytic cleaning of air from contaminants; cleaning air from exhaust gas and waste emissions of ventilation systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes passing the air flow through mechanical filter for removal of solid particles and aerosols, heating air to temperature exceeding ambient temperature by ΔT 5-30 C, passing the air flow through sorbent layer for absorption of hydrocarbons and other organic compounds, layer of porous polymer sorbent containing ether in its pores for absorption of metals and layer of oxidizing reducing catalyst on base of manganese and copper oxides for cleaning air from toxic components of exhaust gases. Proposed method ensures tenfold reduction of concentration of toxic components in exhaust gases (CO, nitric oxides and others) and reduction of concentration of heavy metals in ventilation emissions to maximum permissible concentration.
