FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of sheets in four-roll and axially symmetrical three-roll sheet bending machines. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of lowering lower roll and lifting lateral roll after bending up front edge of blank; rolling blank along part of its length between mounted in above mentioned positions lower roll, lateral roll and upper roll; after bending up rear edge of blank lowering lower roll and lifting lateral roll; shaping shell of blank by rolling it between last rolls and upper roll. EFFECT: enhanced quality of shells, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of four-roll and axially symmetrical three-roll sheet bending machines. 6 dwg
