FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame, shaft, hollow carrier wheel mounted on shaft and having C-shaped axial section for accumulating beetles therein. Killing mechanism is located inside carrier wheel and made in the form of roll fixed on frame. During operation of apparatus cylindrical surface of roll comes into contact with respective internal surfaces of carrier wheel to kill beetles by pressing force applied to zone between roll and carrier wheel. Scrapers are brought into engagement with roll and carrier wheel for removal of killed beetles from their surfaces. Apparatus is used in potato cultivation machines. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing more close arrangement of apparatus to plants to be cleaned from beetles and complete accumulation, killing and removal of killed beetles from carrier wheel. 1 dwg
