FODDER PROCESSING METHOD Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: feed production. SUBSTANCE: method involves grinding and splitting fodder such as straw; conveying ground and split straw by air supplied at flow speed of 20-30 m/s and simultaneously processing it with chemical reactant supplied in the form of aerosol, with air-straw-chemical reactant weight ratio being 20-5-1 and straw moistening with aerosol being performed for 0.1-1 s; providing processing at temperature of atmospheric air within the range of at least 18 C; stocking ready mass in trench and holding in aerobic mode for 7-9 days, when ultimate temperature of produced mass reaches 25 C; feeding processed straw to animals. Method provides improved conditions for reaction between chemical reactant solution and straw in aerobic mode without use of steam. Method is used for preparing feed from field crop wastes or other leaf-and-stalk mass. EFFECT: simplified process and provision for eliminating toxicity of processed feed. 3 cl, 2 dwg
